@mike yeah i saw your posts about it but i think this is the first time the company has publicly stated we are working with another named company other than SI or CM. Thought it relevant to point out is all!

@sectornitad Yeah, perhaps it is the first time they have SAID it out loud that we've heard.

Obviously we saw a clip of the game a while back that formed part of the promo vid and speculated back then.

I just can't see any sign of anyone being served ads, at least in the free version of the game. And surely it's the free version that you'd really target them in right?

Did you notice the July Bids newbie on your post??
Is that moneygen?

Read profile, R and D in previous roles, coding technical skills too
@Girdz - if the guy could code and do technical stuff I would have had him helping to build this site

@Girdz no, he hasn't joined yet. There will be a slight delay to the reveal, obviously he has to give notice etc etc.

@mike i guess we will need to get used to not always seeing any ads in games we think/know Bids is in. Given that it is all finely targeted along player characteristics and location etc..

I subscribed to the pocket gamerbiz YouTube channel at the time of the pocket gamer conference in June and have just seen this video that has been released today....might be worth a watch if anyone has a spare 40 minutes

Ad verification for Bidstack:

Moat and Cheq.

Surprised they let that one slip. Moat and DoubleVerify were the two Lewis mentioned earlier this year. Both confirmed on the Anzu supplier list but Bidstack haven’t formally announced it.

However, Cheq is the company Anzu always proudly goes about partner on press releases. A big song and dance on that one. Bidstack had PubGuard, Anzu had Cheq.
CHEQ will provide end-to-end ad verification within Anzu's blended in-game advertising platform, involving a full suite of 3D viewability measurement, ad-fraud prevention, and brand safety.

https://www.cheq.ai/are-games-a-safe-place-for-brands

Cheq was very big news for Anzu last year.

But not even worthy market news for Bidstack it seems. Nor is Oath or DoubleVerify, some big names in AdTech. Nor is having a new mobile game publisher added to inventory (We've known for months but the open market and probably 90%+ of PIs don't know). What a mysterious company.

Thanks Bidtastic.

What do we think are the implications of that then - Bidstack are no longer using Pubgaurd even for Ad-Fraud prevention? Don't think Pubgaurd were ever intended to provide viewability? If we've completely sacked off the tech then it's no great surprise we're not making a big song and dance about using Cheq as that would mean our acquisition has fallen on it's face.

Suspect it's more likely we're still using Pubguard for Ad- fraud / brand safety and using Cheq for viewability? Presumably that would still be more cost effective than using Cheq for it's full suite of services and no different than using Lumen as a 3rd party as we have done previously for studies.

TruOptik still providing the missing PubGuard piece for Anzu. If you see it leak that Bidstack also using TruOptik then you can take it as given that the PubGuard tech wasn’t up to scratch. They got it for peanuts anyways.
