@MGXYZ what I don't quite get is why they need Bids to do this for them? This is just regular website/digital advertising, is it not? I'm not complaining, mind. Revenue is still revenue, but what is Bids role in this?

I wondered exactly the same as I was reading the list of targeted ads that could appear via Venatus.

My hunch is that Bids will be doing re-targeting campaigns via GFINITY. i.e if you are served an ad in game such as that tax one, it follows you to Gfinity via Venatus who serves it up which the gives Bids the ability to attract conversion as well as nurture brands.

Really clutching at straws though - I cannot see Epic, playstation, final fantasy or civilization in the list of adverts Venatus is targeting at users (happy to paste the code if people are interested albeit it is very long) and they are the ones served to me via the brand takeover.

Still digging though.

Here is where the video is stored.

Rich Media studio - seems like a tool to deliver website ads but not sure who is using the tool to deliver the ads - from Bidstack's RNS I believed it was Bidstack doing brand site takeovers?

Bidstack does also have links with Rich Media (1st one left recently but linked to Derek, Alex Ginn and Alan Ngai).

Just reading James Chapman from Venatus' linkedin profile.

The three-way partnership will see Bidstack working with Venatus to sell advertising space on Gfinity's web platforms, connecting publishers and large-scale brands with gamers and esports enthusiasts. The solutions that will be offered include programmatic advertising, bespoke video and audio-based promotions and brand site takeovers.

What if we are using Venatus and they are using us. Like an ecosystem of ad firms targeting gamers with their respective technologies.

I think that last point is more likely, it is a collaboration of like minded partners working together to get brands, ads and conversions running through and across their games, sites and networks. bids in games in esport s that are discussed online and the ads follow the player through their online ecosystem...so i play FM, i see a jaguar i-pace ad that stays with me when i get to the forums and then post my gameplay and then when i am elsewhere online....one day the billboards on the bus will also change when they catch my bluetooth/wi-fi signal...if all these companies are already playing togetrh that is far more likely to become a reality and it works in the other direction too, i.e from bus stop to esport stadium...

The gaming industry has taken huge strides in the last few years, and brands are eager to embrace this exciting industry. However, brands must be mindful of the world they’re stepping into, ensuring they add to the gaming experience, rather than hinder it.

In this session, Venatus will be sharing best practices for delivering effective advertising to gaming audiences.

John Hall, Head of Creative, Venatus

I'd suggest for a £5m strategic investment they could get a decent chunk.

Then they can benefit from the £1 billion buy out. ;)
